You are currently viewing More Neurographic Art – My First Tree

This afternoon I dew my first tree. I was inspired by this YouTube video.

The lines were drawn with permanent black fine liner pens, and the corners in the branches were rounded off with a gold Sharpie marker (unfortunately the gold doesn’t show up adequately on the photo). The colour was added with Tombow Dual Brush markers and blended with a water brush. The detail on the leaves was added with Staedtler fineliner pens. I used some basic printer card which had been coated with a thin layer of white gesso in order for the Tombow marker ink to flow.

Thank you for visiting, Ali, and I’m glad you like my drawing! It is really fun and relaxing to do. I have just visited your blog but can find no way of commenting there so I hope you come back and see this. I used to do painting by numbers as a child and it seems to be enjoying a revival these days! I am so sorry to hear of your recent health scare but very glad to hear you’ve been given the all-clear.
