WATER DROPLETS IN COLOURED PENCIL

Following on from my previous post, with my drawing of some water droplets in graphite, here are some more, in coloured pencil.

I thought it would be fun to do a whole collection, in different colours. I think they turned out OK.

This time I did them without a reference. The principle is pretty straightforward, really. Slightly counter-intuitively, the side closest to the light source is dark, and the side furthest from it is lightest, with a small highlight in the darkest area. The outer edge is dark, as is the shadow, which has a slightly lighter patch of reflected light. On some of the larger ones I added a second highlight along the side edge.
