A BEAUTIFUL SURPRISE GIFT
I had a parcel from Amazon the other day, and I couldn’t remember ordering anything! It came in quite a large box (which has now been commandeered by the kitties):
and when I opened it, this is what met my eyes.
There was a note from my lovely friend and Christian sister in Brazil. It was really a Christmas gift, so I didn’t open it any further until I spoke to her on Telegram that evening and she said to go ahead and open it! I set my phone to video so she could watch me unboxing it.

Such a beautiful box! She said it was worth it just for the box!
Inside…
This exquisite tea glass and matching spoon, resting in a nest of satin, and accompanied by the softest imaginable cleaning cloth with a different colour on either side. Wow! I love this sort of thing and had I seen it on Amazon I would have been tempted, but would never have justified buying it for myself…
The embellishments and the handle are all enamelled metal. The whole thing is quite heavy, and the glass is heat-proof for hot drinks.
I love how the backs of the flowers are also decorated, as this is what you see through the glass from the inside. So much prettier than if they were just flat and plain. The same applies to the metal base.
The base is really beautiful!
The matching spoon, with a smaller version of the flower, and a loop at the top so you could hang it up if you wanted.
Finally, the cup and spoon in use, with my favourite spiced tea from Sainsbury’s. I think a drink in this beautiful cup has to be clear, to show it off. It would also look gorgeous filled with cranberry juice!
What an absolutely fabulous gift!
The following day I got another packet from Amazon, and when I opened it there was a pack of Christmas stencils inside. On the packing slip it only said “We hope you enjoy your gift” and I assumed that Mr. Amazon was being generous because I am such a good customer lol! However, I spoke to my friend again and she said it was from her, and Amazon had sent them separately. She didn’t think Amazon gave anything away free haha!
I just love my beautiful cup and shall so enjoy using it and thinking of my lovely friend.
