Mark, the decorator, came back this afternoon to finish the job. It didn’t take long to do two coats of paint with a break between, because it was a hot day and the paint dried quickly. The walls below the dado are now a rich dark green which really complements the jungle wallpaper.

The panel on the door looks much better now that the door frame has been painted green.

Finally, a detail shot of the jungle wallpaper.

When my hubby came home, he said he really liked it, and congratulated me on my choice for the decorations! He said it wasn’t what he would have chosen, but he did like it. I said he would probably have chosen magnolia!! He is much more conventional than me, but he generally likes the wacky decorations that I favour! He’s always been very good about giving me free rein inside the house but I never interfere with his rooms where he can do what he wants.

There are a few finishing touches waiting to be done in the loo. I am awaiting the arrival of various bits and pieces from Ebay, and then I can make the new lampshade/mobile.

This certainly has the WOW factor! Love both wallpapers – so dramatic and a pleasure to go and sit on the throne. Maybe you need a tiara on the window sill to wear when in there – or a parrot? Cannot wait for the mobile, it sounds perfect and so exciting. Hope all the bits and pieces come quickly so you can get it done.
This gets my vote for the best small room in any house.
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx
