Doodle art
Here is a practice doodle piece that I did in my Rhodia notebook. It came out better than I’d hoped.
Following Peter Draws on YouTube, I am practising building up a doodle from a single point, rather than drawing lines and filling the spaces between them. In this case, I began with the tiny heart inside a diamond, just below the top tendrils.
Peter’s work is quite astonishing – many commenters say that his pieces aren’t doodles but works of art! I love listening to him chatting away about this and that – he has a quirky mindset which is always entertaining. He also does reviews of various pens.
I am eagerly awaiting the delivery (hopefully tomorrow) of another Rhodia notebook, this time a smaller, plain-paged one with a hardback cover, to do more doodle art in.
Spring has sprung at last
This is the beginning of my absolute favourite time of year, and it’s always a joy to see the spring flowers coming out in our garden.
All the hyacinths in the hanging basket are flowering at the same time, which has to be a first!
The daffodils are nearly all out now.
I love these tiny miniature ones.
The troughs up by the garage make a lovely display.
The primroses are coming out, too. They seem to be doing best so far in the tubs.
A solitary primrose in the primrose bank! I hope this is merely the harbinger of a whole bank-full in a few weeks’ time!
