DOODLING FROM YOUTUBE

After a busy morning, I had a relaxing afternoon and did some doodling in my Rhodia pattern and design book. I had been watching some YouTube videos and thought it would be good to add a few more ideas to my pattern library.

I used Staedtler Pigment Fineliners, sizes 0.3 and 0.8, Faber Castell black Pitt brush marker, and a Tombow Dual Brush marker, colour number 992. I wanted a bit of colour on the page but wanted it to be the same throughout, and fairly neutral. In some cases this would translate well to gold.

I’ve discovered lots of YouTube videos of people making art inspired by Gustav Klimt so I included some patterns.

Most of the doodles people were doing were simple black pen line drawings, but I embellished them a bit and made some of them 3-D with some shading, to make them more interesting. I like creating pages in this large format notebook, with patterns or small drawings on a theme. It’s becoming a useful resource.
