WOYWW – What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

My workdesk for this week’s WOYWW has been my computer – working on my new blog. This has turned out to be very complicated and after a couple of false starts, I think I am on my way now. It’s very slow, because I don’t really know what I am doing, and it takes me a long time to find out how to do things. I have found an excellent Youtube tutorial which I am working through, and if all goes according to plan I should end up with a pretty stunning website!

Also on my virtual workdesk – a lap WOYWW this week – I have done a few more flowers for my slippers. This is the sum total so far.

I want to do several more, and a few leaves to go with them. Then I shall start sewing them onto the slippers.

Teeth

I’ve been having a lot of problems with my wisdom tooth. For those who don’t mind reading about such things, I did a post about it. I’ve been getting intermittent toothache, and went back to have it looked at. Our regular dentist was away so I saw his colleague and she thinks it would be best if she took it out. This is happening next Tuesday, and I’m glad about that. I’m not glad about going to the dentist, but after it’s done there should be no more trouble.

Not much else to report, because I’ve had my head down, working hard on the new blog. Time for a bit of light relief:

Happy WOYWW everyone, and I hope you all have a good creative week.

Hurry and get the flowers and leaves finished, I am so looking forward to seeing those slippers decorated.
I have dentist phobia and am overdue an appointment but other things are getting in the way of my going – at least I have explained myself to her and she fully understands.
Love the cartoon – so true – I only remarked yesterday on a post someone had put “why on earth do we need to know that?” Some folks even put what they had for breakfast – so interesting/nail biting etc … NOT!

I really love those felty flowers, the way they’re all so different – they’ll look awesome on your slippers. I admire all the stitching, details and colours very much.

Threw me there, am used to the latest post on the top! well done on the new blog, like the clarity of text and colour very much. The flowers are sweet, very therapeutic I would imagine. Good luck with the extraction..I am totally with you, so much better to just get it dealt with.

Happy WOYWW. You are several steps ahead of me. I will be starting a new WP site this week. I have done this several times and do it differently each time, but know that I can start simple and add an easier paid theme when cashflow allows (I want to get Divi, but my bank account is empty this month now!). This site is very good for tutorials https://www.wpbeginner.com/start-here/. It is wonderful to be able to see your photos! Hope the wisdom tooth removal goes smoothly next week. My dentist has muttered a few times over the years about removing the one that is coming through, but he then adds that it will be difficult, so I am trying to avoid that unless absolutely necessary. He says I would need to go to Swansea for general anaesthetic. It is fine at the moment. Ali x #25

Hi Shoshi, loving the new blog so far and your little felt decorations for your slippers are totally gorgeous – I can’t wait to see them finished. Good luck with your tooth, I hate going to the dentist and am having a few problems adjusting to my new one after the ‘best dentist in the world ever’ had to give up practicing due to illness! I guess I’m just going to have to move around trying new ones out until I find one I click with.
Thanks for the visit to mine – I have to say I don’t know what I’d do without my little pot of Distress Microglaze – it’s fantastic and I use it every time I use Distress Inks or sprays just to seal the work – it never leaves a sheen, it’s completely matte so you wouldn’t know it had been rubbed on.
Hope you have a good week

Hi Shoshi. The new site looks great. I used WordPress a long time ago – might look at going back to it, as I did like the layouts. The flowers are very pretty, your slippers will look lovely I’m sure. I have a dental check up next week – I’ve had a small toothache on and off for 6 months, I’m hoping I don’t need to have the tooth extracted, as that is a wisdom tooth. I hope all goes well at your appointment. Thanks for the visit- several people mentioned Visible Image for a guitar stamp, so if I don’t get time to make one, then I shall probably buy one from there. Have a lovely week and a wonderful Easter Heather x #8

Visiting a week late – your little flowers look so cute! Good progress with the blog. Sorry about tooth trouble – we just got registered at a our new dentist and I’m not looking forward to going. I’ve found a source of those funny cat cartoons and built up a collection – this one’s going in it LOL! They always crack me up!
