SKETCHING AT COMPTON CASTLE

An afternoon sketching session today. It was extremely hot but I planted myself outside the main gate in the shadow of the trees and it was so cool and comfortable. My hubby took himself off inside the grounds and found somewhere to sit and sketch.

My drawing. Ink pens in my normal sketchbook. Hmmm. Why did I choose a setting so full of trees when… I CAN’T DRAW TREES!!! Duh.

Definitely not one of my best efforts. If my sketchbook pages weren’t bound the way they are (Coptic binding), I think I’d tear this one out!

Oh well. Can’t win ’em all. My hubby’s effort was far better than mine this time!
