RUBY WEDDING CARD

Next month it is our ruby wedding anniversary (40 years). I found a photo online and made this coloured pencil drawing of two cut rubies, which I am making into a card for my hubby.

I always find photographing coloured pencil drawings difficult. They always look so much better in real life, and in the photos, the pencil strokes seem exaggerated, however hard I try and blend them.

I used Faber Castel Polychromos on Bristol Vellum, 147 gsm. The piece is approximately A5 in size but I may trim it a bit in order to mount it on a card base.
