DOUBLE TRI-FOLD JUNK MAIL FOLIO PART 1 - CONSTRUCTION AND BEGINNING THE COVERING Looking at junk mail as potential art material Several weeks ago we had a couple of identical advertising fliers delivered, from a local eatery. Following my usual custom, I looked at them before throwing them in the bin and decided…
CLEAR PACKAGING TAPE TRANSFERS Following Maremi Small Art on YouTube, today I made some more washi tape substitutes using clear packaging tape. I have got some old catalogues which came as junk mail from a local garden centre and they've got some pretty good pictures in them. I spent some time fussy cutting…
SQUARE TISSUE BOX FOLIO 1 - FLORAL Fortunately I have not had to pray for a cold! We are getting through my order of 12 cube-shaped tissue boxes fast enough for me to start upcycling the boxes. Again I am following Chasing Paper on YouTube for another of her excellent tutorials, and again,…
SHOPPING HAUL Yesterday we had a shopping trip to Newton Abbot. I don't get out that much and a day like this is a real treat! My hubby took himself off to the museum after dropping me off, and I made a beeline for The Works for starters. I spent far longer in…

A BOX OF DELIGHTS Recently I decided to make a gift for my artist friend Caroline on the ArtKula forum, who continually inspires me with her fabulous art, her encouragement and her wonderful sense of humour and fun. I had several tiny gifts I wanted to send her, which were trivial and amusing…
CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER - MAKING USE OF PACKAGING I recently searched online for some black striped washi tape which I have seen several people using, and which seems quite hard to find. Eventually I came across an online shop called Curiouser and Curiouser - the name itself was enough to make me want…
HIDDEN PAPERCLIPS FROM EMBOSSED TOILET PAPER ROLLS - ADDING THE EMBELLISHMENTS I have completed the embossed toilet paper rolls project for now - although I may come back to it and make some tags. For the moment I am setting aside the making of elements for albums and doing something different - I…
